Gut health is SO trendy right now. (Gut health is the entire reason anyone would do AIP. It’s an immune protocol that is design to give your gut a break and let your body heal itself.) A happy gut is kind of my favorite thing. Seeing people transform their lives and set themselves up for a higher quality future is just the absolute best. I am dying to drop some knowledge bombs on here very soon to help push everyone along with some extra tools in their toolbelt.
I’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make the most of life myself and whenever I have a win I want to scream it from the mountaintops.
Here a few of my favorite knowledge bomb posts from the past:
AIP Pesto Sauce
Dairy free, AIP-friendly and super high in flavor! We originally made this sauce to liven up our sweet potato gnocchi, but we'd do it again and again.
- 1 medium avocado
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp (or more) water
- juice from 1/2 lemon
- zest from 1 lemon for garnish
- 1 handful fresh basil leaves
- 1 handful fresh parsley
Using a high powered blender or a food processor, toss in all of the ingredients and pulse/blend until smooth and creamy.
We used a vitamix and had to stop and stir it and add extra water a few times do get the whole batch to become smooth.
